Bpifrance has selected Capgemini to develop its next-generation Digital Factory. This new digital platform aims to use artificial intelligence (AI) and data to provide improved solutions to French entrepreneurs and contribute to the reduction of their carbon footprint. The Digital Factory will equip Bpifrance’s IT teams with the latest technologies, specifically in data processing and AI. Additionally, Capgemini will establish an eco-design program to assist the bank in accelerating the reduction of its carbon footprint throughout the lifecycle of its products and services.
The new banking information system of the French public investment bank is based on cloud-native infrastructure and will be complemented by this programme that is designed to digitalise business processes. To further enhance operational efficiency, teams of developers from Capgemini and Bpifrance will also be trained in the latest AI technologies, particularly generative AI.
To facilitate this transformation, Capgemini will establish an ‘Academy’ exclusively for Bpifrance. The purpose of this Academy is to provide training to Bpifrance’s Digital Factory teams, focusing on new technologies as well as on the most up-to-date eco-design standards and methods for reducing carbon footprint throughout the entire lifecycle of their products and services.
“The Digital Factory marks a key stage in our transformation,” said Lionel Chaine, a chief information officer at Bpifrance. “We want to equip our banking information system with the very latest technologies, so that we can offer both innovative and eco-responsible guides to tomorrow’s French industrial leaders, enabling them to accelerate their development while improving their customer experience. We share with Capgemini a common vision of innovation at the service of a sustainable economy and look forward to leading this crucial phase of our transformation with the help of its team of experts.”
Capgemini is collaborating with Bpifrance to drive their transformation by assembling a diverse team of professionals. This team includes business experts, customer interface specialists, developers, data scientists, AI specialists, architects, agile methodology specialists, and IT testers.
“We’re proud to work hand in hand with Bpifrance on this ambitious programme aiming to both accelerate the transformation of a key player for innovation and entrepreneurship in France and deliver innovative and eco-responsible solutions to accompany its customers’ development,” said Laurence Lamarcade-Cochet, a director of operations, financial services at Capgemini. “Our collaboration based on trust, agility, efficiency, and commitment, will be a key driver for the success of this programme.”
