Keysight Technologies announced that SWISSto12 has selected the Keysight Payload Test System (PTS) to validate the radio frequency (RF) payloads of its first HummingSat geostationary satellite, Intelsat 45. This Thaicom satellite will provide extended connectivity in Ku-band over Asia-Pacific region for millions of users. Thaicom has introduced and operated eight geostationary satellites. Viasat, Inc. announced that Inmarsat Government, now part of Viasat, was awarded a proliferated low earth orbit (pLEO) satellite-based services (SBS) contract by the US Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) on behalf of the US Space Force’s (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC).
