Keysight Technologies announced that SWISSto12 has selected the Keysight Payload Test System (PTS) to validate the radio frequency (RF) payloads of its first HummingSat geostationary satellite, Intelsat 45. The HummingSat is a small telecommunications satellite developed in collaboration with the European Space Agency through a public-private-partnership and customers including Intelsat and Viasat. Viasat, Inc. announced that Inmarsat Government, now part of Viasat, was awarded a proliferated low earth orbit (pLEO) satellite-based services (SBS) contract by the US Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) on behalf of the US Space Force’s (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC). Inmarsat Government is one of 16 companies selected for the $900 million (€840.19 million) ceiling, 10-year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract.
